53rd edition: a touch of Argentina and tango
The 53rd edition of Musique dans la Rue was held from August 23 to 30, 2025, in the historic center of Aix-en-Provence. This edition was marked by a touch of Argentina and tango that enriched the usual program of classical music, jazz, opera, and world music.
The free concerts took place in the six emblematic venues of the festival — Cour Sainte-Catherine, the recently renovated Place d'Albertas, the Chapelle des Oblats, and Place des Prêcheurs — starting at 6:30 PM each evening. The program included music set to poetry, symphonies and four-hand fantasies, encounters between classical and jazz, famous opera arias, and Argentine tango.
