40th edition: forty years of open-air music
For its 40th edition, the Musique en Omois festival traveled through six municipalities in the South of Aisne from June 28 to August 2, 2024, offering six free concert evenings with a rich and eclectic program.
The kickoff was on June 28th in Mareuil-en-Dôle with La Cafetera Roja, a European band of six musicians mixing trip-hop, hip-hop, and Latin music. On July 5th in Jaulgonne, Les Tit' Nassels delighted the audience with their quirky French chanson. On July 13th in Château-Thierry, at the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville, the evening began with a breakdance initiation followed by a show, before the ethio-trance concert by the group Kutu, blending free jazz and traditional Azmari sounds with explosive energy. A fireworks display lit up the night, followed by a DJ set by Roller Girl.
The festival continued on July 19th in Crouttes-sur-Marne with The Cloverhearts and their Celtic Punk'n'Roll led by an Australian singer, then on July 27th in Mont-Saint-Père with The Brooks. The closing took place on August 2nd in Brécy with Celkilt and Vilain Cœur as the opening act.
