Necronomi'Con: The Major Geek and Asian Convention of North Franche-Comté

Since its first edition, Necronomi'Con has established itself as the major annual event for pop culture, geek culture, and Asian cultures in North Franche-Comté. Organized by the association AtraXion at the Parc Expo Belfort – l'AtraXion in Andelnans (90400), it brings together an enthusiastic and passionate community every spring for a weekend of festivities for all audiences.

A 360° Universe of Pop Culture

Necronomi'Con offers total immersion in the worlds of pop culture: manga, anime, video games, role-playing games, comics, science fiction, fantasy, Japanese and Asian culture. Cosplayers in costume, figurine collectors, avid gamers, and the simply curious mingle in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, open to all ages.

Cosplay: One of the Highlights

The cosplay scene is one of the show's highlights at Necronomi'Con. Cosplay contests, organized by specialized associations like Geeks'n'Craft from Besançon, allow participants to showcase their creations before a professional jury. Saturday is dedicated to the Necronomi'Con Contest, while Sunday hosts the regional pre-selection for the Coupe de France de Cosplay.

Guests and Activities

Each edition welcomes special guests—web celebrities, artists, creators, personalities from geek culture—for autograph sessions, photo opportunities, and meet-and-greets with the public. Various activities are offered throughout the weekend: Japanese Yosakoi dance, arcade machines, video game tournaments, introductions to Go and other strategy games, themed exhibitions, and many other surprises.

Exhibitors

Around a hundred exhibitors fill the halls of the Parc Expo to offer figurines, manga, artbooks, handmade creations, clothing, accessories, and souvenirs related to pop culture universes. A paradise for collectors and fans looking for rare finds.

The 2025 Edition: The 7th Season in Andelnans

On April 12 and 13, 2025, the 7th edition of Necronomi'Con brought together fans from the Territoire de Belfort, Pays de Montbéliard, Alsace, and Switzerland for two days of intensive pop culture. Guests for the 2025 edition included Norman Genius, Constantin Pappas, Satymoo, Dina Morisset, MEDEIS, and other personalities from the French-speaking geek and web sphere.

The 2026 Edition: The 8th Season

The 8th season of Necronomi'Con is scheduled for April 11 and 12, 2026, at Parc Expo Belfort – l'AtraXion in Andelnans. Two days of convention open from 10 am to 7 pm, with an enriched program of exhibitors, prestigious guests, cosplay contests, and activities for all ages.
