The committed music festival for ocean protection in Biarritz
Created in 2022 by journalist Hugo Clément and musician Kevin Rodrigues (aka Worakls), Ocean Fest is a unique musical event where all artists play voluntarily for the benefit of ocean protection. Organized by the association Blue Force at the Halle d'Iraty in Biarritz, this two-day festival in April donates all its profits to environmental associations like One Voice and Sea Shepherd France. An eclectic program mixing pop, electro, and contemporary music with a strong commitment to defending marine ecosystems.
Ocean Fest was born in 2022 from a simple yet powerful idea: to bring artists and the public together through music to defend the oceans. Co-founded by journalist Hugo Clément and musician Kevin Rodrigues, known as Worakls, this unique event combines environmental commitment with a top-tier music lineup.
What makes Ocean Fest unique is its solidarity model: all artists play voluntarily, and all profits are donated to marine environmental defense associations. The association Blue Force, which spearheads the project, has chosen to support organizations like One Voice and Sea Shepherd France, who are at the forefront of protecting marine ecosystems.
Ocean Fest takes place at the Halle d'Iraty, a large event space in Biarritz, ideal for hosting a music festival of this scale. Two days of concerts in a festive and committed atmosphere, where the audience dances to the sounds of pop, electro, and contemporary music while contributing to an essential cause.
Each edition features a high-caliber lineup that spans musical genres. From French pop to electro, from live performances to DJ sets, Ocean Fest attracts national and international headliners. The festival has already hosted artists like Clara Luciani, Kavinsky, Breakbot, Ofenbach, Space 92, and of course Worakls himself, the event's co-founder.
Beyond music, Ocean Fest raises public awareness about ocean protection issues through concrete actions and partnerships with marine conservation stakeholders. Every ticket purchased is a gesture for the ocean.
The 5th edition of Ocean Fest returns in April 2026 at the Halle d'Iraty in Biarritz. The festival will continue its solidarity mission with artists playing voluntarily for the benefit of ocean protection.
