1st Edition — January 2026
The Perspectives festival opened its doors for the very first time from January 23 to 25, 2026, at the Le Palace cinema in Montluçon. This inaugural edition brought together ten films in competition, selected from hundreds of international submissions, without restriction of genre or nationality.
The audience, the true jury of the competition, awarded the Audience Award to the film they most acclaimed. In parallel, the two retrospective sections allowed for the (re)discovery of works from cinema of the 1990s to 2010s, offering a dialogue between past creation and contemporary emergence.

- International Competition: 10 films (features and shorts) — fiction, documentary, animation, fantasy, experimental
- Retrospective 1: selection of films from the 1990s-2000s
- Retrospective 2: selection of films from the 2000s-2010s
- Audience Award: €500 prize awarded by spectators
