Edition 2013 — Photosynthèse
The 13th edition of the Photosynthèse European Nature Photography Festival took place from July 14 to 21, 2013, in Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule. The special theme of the competition was 'Geometry in Nature'. Exhibitions, slideshow projections, nature photography workshops, field trips, and encounters between photographers and the public enlivened this week dedicated to nature and imagery.

13th Edition — 'Geometry in Nature'
The thirteenth edition of the Photosynthèse festival brought together nature photographers and nature lovers from July 14 to 21, 2013, in Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule. The special competition theme, 'Geometry in Nature', invited participants to explore the shapes, symmetries, and geometric structures present in the living world.
The eight usual competition categories were open: landscape, vertebrate fauna, invertebrate fauna, wildflowers, greenhouse or garden flowers, black and white, photographic creation, and the special theme. The exhibitions of selected works, commented slideshow projections, and nature photography workshops formed the core of the program.
