Eighth Edition: Blues Celebrates Its Vitality in Oraison

On Saturday, May 25, 2024, the festival celebrated its eighth edition in Oraison, confirming the lasting presence of blues in Haute-Provence thanks to the unwavering commitment of the Eden District Blues association.

Afternoon — Place du Kiosque

Starting at 2:30 PM, two free concerts took place on the Place du Kiosque. The duo The Ankles Beat opened the festivities with energetic acoustic blues, followed by the quartet of Marjorie Martinez, a singer and musician offering modern blues with a touch of soul and groove.

Late Afternoon — In Front of the Eden

At 6:00 PM, The Yellbows ignited the forecourt of the Salle de l'Eden during the traditional barbecue party, blending blues, rock'n'roll, and festive energy in a friendly outdoor atmosphere.

Evening — Salle de l'Eden

At 8:30 PM, the evening concert began with the Gloria Turrini Trio, a group led by the powerful and moving voice of Italian singer Gloria Turrini, followed by the Nico Wayne Toussaint Band, fronted by the renowned French harmonica player Nico Wayne Toussaint, a key figure in French blues and an internationally recognized artist.
