2025 Edition — Jazz Without Borders
The 2025 edition of the Rhino Jazz(s) Festival featured a particularly international program, with artists from the United States, Canada, Africa, Japan, Denmark, Israel, Switzerland, Serbia, and Estonia.
Lyon Highlights
At Lyon's Chapelle de la Trinité, Japanese pianist Naoko Sakata delivered a memorable solo performance on October 2, blending instinctive improvisation and sonic exploration in a style free from classical jazz conventions. Other concerts were also scheduled in the Lyon metropolitan area.
Featured Program
Among the artists on the bill: Donny McCaslin, Avishaï Cohen, and Renaud Garcia-Fons, as well as numerous ensembles and groups covering a wide musical spectrum, from traditional blues to the most adventurous contemporary jazz.
