A Literary Fair in the Heart of Verdun

The Salon du Livre PLUME de Verdun, known as "Plume de Printemps", is the annual meeting place for book lovers in the city of Verdun. Organized by the PLUME association (Passion Littéraire de l'Union Meusienne des Écrivains et illustrateurs), this fair was created in 2015 to offer Meuse and Lorraine authors a quality showcase and the public a space to meet creators.

A Program Centered on Meeting

Authors and Signings

Each edition hosts about thirty authors, illustrators, artists, and photographers who present their works and offer signing sessions throughout the day. Novels, comics, children's books, historical works, poetry, and photography are represented, offering a diverse panorama of literary and artistic creation.

Exhibitions and Discoveries

The fair features exhibitions of works and discovery areas allowing the public to browse and purchase books. Informal discussions with authors enrich the visit and provide a better understanding of the creative processes.

Fun Activities

For the younger ones, strategy games are organized with prizes to be won. Adults can participate in a free contest to win books offered by the authors present. These activities contribute to the festive and friendly atmosphere of the fair.

The PLUME Association

The PLUME association brings together writers and illustrators from the Meuse region committed to promoting reading and literary creation. It organizes two annual fairs: Plume de Printemps in Verdun and Plume d'Automne in Bar-le-Duc, as well as various cultural mediation actions throughout the year.

A Welcoming Setting

The fair is held at the Lycée Margueritte, located at Place du Commandant Galland in Verdun. This establishment offers spacious and bright rooms, perfectly suited for welcoming the public and showcasing the exhibited works. Admission is free, reflecting the association's desire to make literature accessible to all.
