20th creation of the Son et Lumière of Valençay with "Puss in Boots", an adaptation of the famous tale by Charles Perrault. Night show at the foot of the castle with over a hundred volunteers, light effects, and a final fireworks display.

2025 Edition: Puss in Boots
The 20th creation of the Son et Lumière of Valençay presented "Puss in Boots", a retelling of the famous tale by Charles Perrault. The show staged the story of a cunning cat who helps his master, a miller's son, rise in society by tricking an ogre and convincing the king that his master is the rich "Marquis de Carabas". The Château de Valençay, with its majestic setting, served as an enchanting backdrop for this fairy-tale, directed by Jean-Claude Baudoin.
The performances were held on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from July 23 to August 14, 2025, with a countryside meal served from 8 p.m. and the show at 10 p.m., crowned by a magnificent fireworks display over the castle.
