9th Edition: The Strong Comeback After a Year's Break

After a year without a festival in 2024, during which the Des Pieds Des Mains association took time to rebuild its finances while organizing one-off events, Sucs en Scène made its grand return from August 28 to 30, 2025 for an explosive 9th edition on the Marnhac site in Yssingeaux.

On Thursday, August 28, a free warm-up evening kicked off the festivities with DJ BenM and food stalls, allowing festival-goers to gather in a relaxed atmosphere.

On Friday, August 29, the rock night set the site ablaze with La Grange opening, followed by Les Sales Majestés, a legendary French punk-rock band with committed lyrics, and Les Fatals Picards as headliners, celebrating their 25-year career with their unique style blending offbeat humor and rock energy. Los Pollos Hermanos provided the DJ set between bands. DJ Harry Cover handled the musical transitions between concerts.

On Saturday, August 30, it was time for reggae and dub with Naksookhaw opening, then Vanupié, a reggae maestro with an enchanting voice, and Jahnération, an explosive duo fusing reggae and hip-hop, as headliners. Some Dub Stories closed the evening in style. In the afternoon, festival-goers enjoyed festive olympiads and a colorful pigment release in tribute to departed artists, notably the reggae artist Naâman who had performed at the festival in 2018.

A craft market featuring about ten local creators animated the site on Friday and Saturday. The organizers aimed for an attendance of 1,500 spectators per night on this site that can accommodate up to 3,000 people.
