Festival of the alternative Arab scene in Aubervilliers
Tunis sur Seine was born from a simple and strong desire: to give a stage, in France, to contemporary Arab music that doesn't find its place in the usual distribution channels. Maghreb pop, Arab hip-hop, Tunisian R&B, indie pop, neo-soul — these genres are carried by a new generation of talented artists, often from the diaspora, who are reinventing Arab music through their multiple influences.
By choosing Aubervilliers as the host city, the organizers found a territory that perfectly resonated with their project. The commune is home to a significant and vibrant Maghrebi and Tunisian community, which actively participates in the festival. The event thus goes beyond its artistic dimension to become a moment of identity pride and encounter.
The Point Fort d'Aubervilliers is an exceptional historical site: a former 19th-century military fort converted into a cultural and natural space. Its vast green areas, imposing walls, and unique atmosphere offer a singular setting for hosting the festival. Each edition, the site transforms into a festive and colorful village, hosting concerts, a market, and activities for several hours.
The programming of Tunis sur Seine is distinguished by its ability to mix established artists and emerging voices, the Tunisian scene and the Maghrebi diaspora in France:
The 5th edition (2025) featured ten concerts in a single evening at the Point Fort, confirming the growing momentum of a booming alternative Arab scene.
Beyond the concerts, Tunis sur Seine also offers:
Tunis sur Seine returns in July 2026 for its 6th edition at the Point Fort d'Aubervilliers. True to its unique format — an intense evening of concerts from the alternative Arab scene — the festival will offer a new lineup mixing established artists and new discoveries from contemporary Maghrebi and Arab music.
The creators' market and food trucks with flavors from Tunisia and the Maghreb will be present again to complete the festive experience. Ticketing and the lineup will be announced on the official website tunissurseine.com and the festival's social media.
For its 6th edition, Tunis sur Seine takes over the Point Fort d'Aubervilliers on Saturday, July 4, 2026, starting at 4:30 PM, with 8 concerts spread across two stages (the Halle and the Chapiteau). This edition is part of the Mediterranean Season 2026.
Beyond the concerts: designers' market, food trucks with Mediterranean and oriental flavors, play and relaxation areas, as well as activities for families and children. The detailed schedule will be communicated by the organizer.
