Viking Festival of Rocroi 2025 — The Battle of Rocroi

The 2025 edition of the Viking Festival brought together over 350 combatants from July 4 to 6, 2025, on the Place d'Armes in Rocroi. Troops from all over Europe — France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Netherlands — recreated spectacular battles of the Viking era.

The program featured large-scale battles between two armies, individual tournaments (regicide, bridge battle, duels, glíma), archery and axe throwing events for visitors, a medieval market with artisans and stalls, and historical encampments animated continuously. The competitions for best historical costume and cooked dish rewarded the most authentic participants. The Saturday evening dancing party on the square concluded a memorable day.
