Live music, skate and surf on the Basque Coast
Born in 2024 from the enthusiasm generated by BTZ Downhill, Woodscôte Festival is a multidisciplinary event that takes over the Basque Coast in Biarritz for three days in early July. Rooted in an authentic and inclusive rock spirit, the festival offers a 100% live program – over fifteen rock, pop, and rap concerts without any DJs – skateboard and downhill competitions, a surf contest, and live painting performances. With a participatory entrance fee starting from 1 euro, Woodscôte cultivates the values of Peace, Love & Unity and brings together thrill-seekers, families, creatives, and the curious.
Woodscôte Festival was born in 2024 from the shared passion for surf, skate, and rock of a collective of local riders and artists, BTZ Downhill. Inspired by the energy of the first BTZ Downhill edition, this festival immediately established itself as an unmissable summer event in Biarritz on the legendary Basque Coast.
The hallmark of Woodscôte is its 100% live music program: over fifteen concerts spread over three days, covering rock, pop, and rap, with no DJ sets. This commitment to live music creates an authentic and electric atmosphere, in line with the 70s vintage rock spirit that permeates the festival.
The sports component is equally ambitious:
The festival also hosts live painting performances and on-site artistic creations, adding a visual and creative dimension to the event. Local and invited artists transform the festival grounds into an open-air gallery.
Woodscôte Festival cultivates a spirit of diversity, passion, and freedom. With a participatory entrance fee starting from 1 euro, the event aims to be accessible to everyone – thrill-seekers, families, creatives, and the curious – in a vintage and inclusive atmosphere that blends generations and cultures.
The 3rd edition of Woodscôte Festival is expected in early July 2026 on the Basque Coast in Biarritz. The festival will continue its formula combining live music, skate, surf, and art.
