The Yport Herring Festival 2025 was held on November 15 and 16 in the village hall and town hall courtyard. Traditional meal of grilled herring, sailors' songs, and maritime heritage activities brought together enthusiasts in this picturesque village on the Alabaster Coast.
Yport celebrates Herring 2025
On November 15 and 16, 2025, the village of Yport hosted its herring festival in the festival hall and town hall courtyard. On Saturday evening, a festive meal brought diners together around a complete menu of grilled herring with potatoes, preceded by a kir with cider and followed by cheese and dessert.
Sailors' songs accompanied the meal, while the APPF offered its demonstrations of nautical knots and fishing simulator. On Sunday lunchtime, a second service allowed families to enjoy this friendly and authentic festival.
