Yport celebrates Herring 2025
On November 15 and 16, 2025, the village of Yport hosted its herring festival in the festival hall and town hall courtyard. On Saturday evening, a festive meal brought diners together around a complete menu of grilled herring with potatoes, preceded by a kir with cider and followed by cheese and dessert.
Sailors' songs accompanied the meal, while the APPF offered its demonstrations of nautical knots and fishing simulator. On Sunday lunchtime, a second service allowed families to enjoy this friendly and authentic festival.
