Our highlight of the weekend. Since 2007, the Corsica Classic has brought vintage sailboats and classic yachts to Saint-Florent. This regatta marks its 20th edition in 2026. From Saturday July 18 to Monday July 20, the finest rigs on the gulf compete under the eyes of holidaymakers gathered on the quays.
The atmosphere is elegant and retro, far removed from the usual village fête. The event showcases a rare nautical craft — restoring and sailing period boats — away from the more touristy stretches of coast. Fête de la Châtaigne du Taravo, Petreto-Bicchisano (July 17-19)
Created in 1992, the Fête de la Châtaigne du Taravo marks its 35th edition in 2026 in Petreto-Bicchisano, Corse-du-Sud. From Friday July 17 to Sunday July 19, the village honours the chestnut, a historic staple of Corsican food culture. Expect a producers' market, tastings and events built around the fruit that once fed much of the Taravo valley.

Tucked into the forest of Vizzavona, at the foot of Monte d'Oro, the Fête du Miel marks its 47th edition in 2026. This food-focused gathering was created in 1980. On Saturday July 18 and Sunday July 19, beekeepers and local producers present their maquis, chestnut-grove or mountain honey.
The setting is one of the island's most spectacular natural backdrops. It's a hidden gem for anyone hiking the area, between the GR20 and Vizzavona station. Small in scale, the fête has nonetheless lasted nearly half a century without losing its authenticity.

Un Été au Théâtre, Porto-Vecchio
Since 1983, the Compagnie I Chjachjaroni has run Un Été au Théâtre on the harbour front in Porto-Vecchio, through to September 3. The open-air theatre at the Usine à Liège hosts a programme every summer evening, alternating repertoire plays, new creations and shows for younger audiences.
More than forty years after it began, the Corsican troupe remains a familiar summer institution for locals and holidaymakers alike. A new performance this weekend is worth checking before booking. Fête de Corbara (July 16-18)
In Cap Corse, the Fête de Corbara marks its 88th edition in 2026, a patronal festival created in 1939. From Thursday July 16 to Saturday July 18, the village of Corbara holds its traditional festivities: a dance, entertainment and a village reunion. Corbara is known for the convent overlooking its bay.
Arriving later in the weekend, Saturday night is your last chance before the fête wraps up. An authentic stop in Cap Corse, easy to pair with a visit to the Saint-Dominique convent or a swim in the nearby coves.
Foire Artisanale de Monticello (July 16-19)
Since 2009, Monticello has hosted its Foire Artisanale, marking its 18th edition in 2026. Created in 2014, the Fête des Plages de Calvi marks its 13th edition in 2026. On Friday July 17 and Saturday July 18, the town puts on beachfront entertainment facing the Genoese citadel, extending the summer evenings by the sea.
Younger than the neighbouring patronal fêtes, it leans into a lively, festive mood aimed at tourists and locals alike. A chance to enjoy Calvi's bay after dark rather than by day, with one of Corsica's finest citadels lit up in the background.
Foire de l'Artisanat de Calvi (July 19-20)
Calvi follows up with the Foire de l'Artisanat, marking its 25th edition in 2026 since it began in 2002. On Sunday July 19 and Monday July 20, a new craft fair takes over from the Fête des Plages, with exhibitors from across the island.
Ideal for stretching a Calvi weekend a little further, mixing beach, citadel and craft market, without leaving empty-handed. Two fairs in one week confirm Calvi's role as a key stop in the Balagne in high summer.

Fans of Corsican polyphonic singing should keep an eye on the Polyphonic Thursdays of Bonifacio. Every Thursday evening from April to October, the Saint-Dominique church in the upper town hosts a concert of traditional song.
