The Marathon des Grands Crus, from Dijon to Vougeot

The Marathon des Grands Crus is run on Saturday and Sunday (10/10/2026), starting in Dijon. Created in 2019 by Thomas Dauvergne and backed by the AM Sports club, it draws more than 7,000 participants every year.

The races are a 42.195 km marathon, a 21.1 km half marathon, a 10 km and a 5 km. Roller skaters get a 23 km race, and a running and roller relay challenge is reserved for young people.

Every race follows the Route des Grands Crus.

The course crosses Chenôve, Marsannay-la-Côte, Couchey, Fixin, Brochon, Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny and Vougeot, in the Côte de Nuits. The Burgundy vineyard climats it passes through are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Along the course, aid stations offer local specialties, regional cheeses and a selection of Grands Crus. A festive village welcomes participants, and shuttles leave from the finish village.
