Alive Dub Festival 2025: The 2nd Edition Confirms Its Roots
After a successful first edition in 2024 celebrating Steel Alive's ten years, the Alive Dub Festival returned from October 3 to 5, 2025, to L'Impasse du Bout du Monde in Saint-Jean-Saint-Maurice-sur-Loire. This second edition confirmed the festival's identity: a human-sized event, rooted in sound system culture, without overproduction or artifice.
The festival once again offered its signature format: two evenings of sound system in the forest powered by Dub Addict Sound System, followed by a day of concerts at the farm on Sunday. Among the artists announced for this edition were Zafa Sound System, Sista Ajna Selecta, and Steel Alive Live, who transforms the stage into an experimental space between powerful instrumentals and refined digital textures.
True to its philosophy, the festival remained 100% independent, without grants or sponsors, with free camping and on-site catering. The peaceful environment between forest, river, and country paths offered festival-goers an ideal setting to reconnect with the essential vibrations of dub.
