The National Day in Clamart: A Lakeside Tradition

Every July 14th, the town of Clamart celebrates the National Day with splendor and conviviality, perpetuating a festive tradition that brings together thousands of residents and visitors on the shores of the Panorama lake each year. This celebration pays homage to two foundational dates of the French Republic: July 14, 1789, the storming of the Bastille, a symbol of the Revolution, and July 14, 1790, the Federation Festival, which consecrated national unity.

The reflection of the fireworks on the lake's surface creates striking visual effects, doubling the splendor of the show. Families, couples, and friends arrive early to find the best spots, bringing blankets and picnics to fully enjoy the evening.
