The big annual popular festival of the town of Clamart
Every year, the Fête de Clamart transforms the town into an open-air festive space. Organized by the municipality of Clamart (92140), this popular celebration is one of the highlights of the summer agenda in the Hauts-de-Seine. It brings together residents of all ages and backgrounds in an atmosphere of sharing and conviviality around shows, activities, music, and flavors from around the world.
At the heart of the Fête de Clamart is the famous Fête des Petits Pois (Pea Festival), an event that takes its name from the town's historic market gardening production. Once a major producer of peas renowned throughout the Parisian region, Clamart chose this vegetable symbol to name its popular festival, making this modest legume the joyful emblem of a town proud of its roots.
The Fête des Petits Pois is reinvented each year around a different theme. It hosts street performances featuring jugglers, acrobats, dancers, puppeteers, comedians, musicians, and circus artists who take over the town's squares and streets. Participatory workshops — archery, face painting, wooden games, artistic graffiti — complete the program for families and children.
Clamart's uniqueness lies in its exceptional natural setting. Bordered by the Clamart state forest, one of the largest in the Hauts-de-Seine with its 350 hectares of oaks and beeches, the town offers a unique setting for the festivities. Some of the festival's activities extend to the edge of the forest, blending popular culture and preserved nature just a few kilometers from Paris.
The Fête de Clamart systematically offers a program designed for all audiences:
The Fête des Petits Pois 2025 was held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, with Japan as the main theme. The Village des Petits Pois was transformed into a showcase of Japanese culture from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. On the program: a giant karaoke on anime and manga themes, artistic face painting stands inspired by Japanese characters, food trucks specializing in Japanese cuisine, a Grand Parade at 8:25 p.m., and a Tokyo Party hosted by a DJ until the end of the evening. A popular success that brought together thousands of Clamartois and visitors from neighboring towns.
The Fête de Clamart 2026 is scheduled for spring-summer 2026, true to its tradition of offering a new theme each year. The full program will be announced on the official website of the Town of Clamart. The event will continue to occupy the Place de la Mairie, the Parc de la Maison Blanche, and the main streets of the town for a new colorful, festive, and open-to-all edition.
The 2026 edition of the Fête des Petits Pois will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026 in Clamart on the theme "Immersion in Polynesia". From 2 PM to 1 AM, the Place de la Mairie, the Parc de la Maison Blanche, and several downtown locations will host Polynesian workshops, shows, traditional sports demonstrations, a grand costume parade, and a Tahitian evening. Free admission for the entire program.
After India in 2023, Mexico in 2024, and Japan in 2025, the Fête des Petits Pois 2026 takes the residents of Clamart to Polynesia. For an entire day, the city transforms into a Tahitian stopover with a Pea Festival Village featuring immersive decorations, participatory workshops, dance and music demonstrations, traditional sports activities, and a grand costume parade.
The entire program is free, open, and accessible to all (only on-site catering is charged). No prior registration is necessary for most activities — some workshops with limited capacity (woven basket, flower crown, po'ara, culinary workshops) require on-site registration.
