The festive and friendly Christmas market in the heart of Bagneux
Nestled in the town of Bagneux (92220), on the outskirts of Paris, the Bagneux Christmas Market has become an unmissable event for families in the southern Hauts-de-Seine region over the past few years. Set up on Place Dampierre, an emblematic public square in the historic town center, this event transforms this neighborhood into a true winter festival scene every December.
The strength of the Bagneux Christmas Market lies in its selection of exhibitors. You'll find about thirty artisans and merchants offering original creations: handmade jewelry, Christmas decorations, artisanal confectionery, local products, wooden toys, children's clothing, and many other surprises. The municipality ensures that local creators and regional producers are prioritized, giving the market a rare authenticity in the Paris region.
The wooden chalets, carefully decorated, exude a warm and friendly atmosphere, making it a pleasant place to stroll despite the December chill. Mulled wine, hot chocolate, roasted chestnuts, and other winter treats accompany visitors throughout the weekend.
The Bagneux Christmas Market also features a program of festive activities designed to delight young and old alike. Street performances, Christmas music concerts, creative workshops for children, and artistic performances punctuate each day. The atmosphere is guaranteed from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening.
Children happily meet Santa Claus and his elf, present throughout the weekend to welcome the little ones, listen to their wishes, and take souvenir photos. This magical moment is one of the highlights eagerly awaited by Bagneux families year after year.
The Bagneux municipality spearheads the organization of this event, with the support of local associations and the town's commercial fabric. For several years, the Town of Bagneux has pursued an ambitious cultural and festive policy, of which this Christmas market is one of the highlights.
The market runs for two and a half days: from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening, with opening hours adapted to all family constraints. Admission is completely free, in line with the event's popular and inclusive mission.
Bagneux is particularly well-served by Parisian public transport. Metro Line 4 (Bagneux – Lucie Aubrac station) allows you to reach Place Dampierre in a few minutes from Paris. Several bus lines complement this service. By car, the town is accessible from the ring road (Porte de Châtillon) and has parking lots near Place Dampierre.
The Town of Bagneux is renewing its Christmas market in December 2026, on Place Dampierre. Local artisans, festive activities, free shows, and the presence of Santa Claus are expected for this unmissable family weekend in the 92. Detailed program to come on the official town website.
