Mondes en commun
Contemporary photography festival at the Musée départemental Albert-Kahn
2026
About Mondes en commun
Every year, the Mondes en commun festival brings together a selection of contemporary photographers in the gardens of the Musée départemental Albert-Kahn in Boulogne-Billancourt. Their work is presented in dialogue with the Archives de la Planète, a vast collection established by Albert Kahn in the early 20th century. Organized by the museum in partnership with the Friends of the Musée départemental Albert-Kahn association, each edition explores the visual inventory of the world, a tradition established since its debut in 2024.
Mondes en commun — edition 2026
For its third edition, the Mondes en commun festival showcases eleven international photographers from May 23rd to September 20th, 2026, in the gardens of the musée départemental Albert-Kahn. Their work engages in a dialogue with the museum's historical collections, exploring a visual inventory of the world that balances wonder with concern regarding contemporary global shifts.
The Third Edition
Following its 2024 and 2025 editions, Mondes en commun returns to the musée départemental Albert-Kahn, bringing together eleven photographers to explore the theme of a visual world inventory—a concept dear to Albert Kahn and his Archives of the Planet. Their works are presented as outdoor monographic exhibitions that interact with the museum's garden.
The featured photographers are Léonce R. Agbodjélou (Benin), Ying Ang (Australia), Mustapha Azeroual (France), Yasmina Benabderrahmane (France), Barbara Bosworth (United States), Thierry Bouët (France), Cédric Delsaux (France), the duo Ari Versluis and Ellie Uyttenbroek (Netherlands), Robert Voit (Germany), Ester Vonplon (Switzerland), and Laure Winants (Belgium).
The festival opens on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, coinciding with the European Night of Museums, and is held in partnership with the Friends of the musée départemental Albert-Kahn association.
