The international fine arts fair, from Antiquity to the present day, at the Grand Palais
Fine Arts Paris, formerly FAB Paris, is the major international fine arts fair that brings together the world's most prestigious galleries at the Grand Palais each year. Born from the alliance between Fine Arts Paris and the Biennale des Antiquaires, it celebrates creativity in all its forms, from Antiquity to contemporary creation, under the monumental glass roof of the Grand Palais. With over 110 galleries from 12 countries, the fair offers a unique panorama of seven thousand years of art history and attracts over 30,000 visitors to each edition.
Fine Arts Paris was born from the merger between Fine Arts Paris, a fair for ancient and modern art, and the prestigious Biennale des Antiquaires, a historic event in the Parisian art market since 1956. Under the name FAB Paris (Fine Arts – La Biennale), this alliance brought together the world's leading dealers in ancient, modern, and contemporary art under one roof, in an ambitious and unifying annual format. In 2025, the fair reverted to the name Fine Arts Paris, which is more explicit and international, abandoning the reference to the biennale for a resolutely annual format.
Fine Arts Paris takes place under the monumental glass roof of the Grand Palais, an architectural masterpiece from 1900, in the heart of Paris. This emblematic venue, restored and reopened, offers a majestic setting for the approximately 110 participating galleries, which present paintings, sculptures, furniture, art objects, jewelry, decorative arts, and contemporary creations in a carefully curated scenography. The Grand Palais gives Fine Arts Paris unique scope and prestige on the international art fair scene.
The 4th edition of FAB Paris was held from November 22 to 27, 2024 at the newly restored Grand Palais. More than 110 galleries of international renown, from 12 countries, presented a dazzling panorama ranging from Antiquity to contemporary creation. The Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild museum, guest of honor, exhibited a selection of its 18th-century decorative arts collections in a scenography designed by Jacques Garcia. The edition welcomed over 30,000 visitors in six days.
The fair made a major calendar change in 2025, now taking place in September instead of November. From September 20 to 24, 2025, around 100 international galleries gathered at the Grand Palais. The Musée Nissim de Camondo, guest of honor, organized an exclusive exhibition of its late 18th-century decorative arts collections. Under the presidency of Xavier Eeckhout, the fair also resumed the name Fine Arts Paris.
Fine Arts Paris is distinguished by its unique chronological scope, embracing over seven millennia of artistic creation. From Egyptian antiquities to Old Masters, from 18th-century decorative arts to Impressionist painting, from Art Deco furniture to contemporary sculpture, the fair offers an exceptional journey through time. This encyclopedic ambition, combined with the quality requirement imposed by a rigorous vetting committee, makes Fine Arts Paris one of the major events in the global art market.
