The only contemporary Asian art fair in Europe
Asia Now — Paris Asian Art Fair was created in 2015 by Alexandra Fain, a specialist in contemporary Asian art and founder of the fair. Faced with the absence of an event dedicated to contemporary Asian art in Europe, she imagined a unique platform capable of connecting Asian galleries with European collectors and institutions. For seven years, the fair was held at the Salons Hoche, a private mansion in the 8th arrondissement, before moving in 2022 to the prestigious setting of the Monnaie de Paris, on the banks of the Seine.
The Monnaie de Paris: a monumental setting for Asian art
Since 2022, Asia Now has been held in the salons of the Monnaie de Paris, an institution founded in 864, in the heart of the 6th arrondissement. This historic monument offers a majestic and symbolic setting to host international galleries and their artists. Visitors discover the works in salons with gilded woodwork and painted ceilings, creating a striking dialogue between Western heritage and contemporary Asian creation.
2024 Edition: Tenth Anniversary
The 10th edition of Asia Now took place from October 17 to 20, 2024 at the Monnaie de Paris. For this anniversary, the fair offered an exceptional program celebrating a decade of promoting contemporary Asian art in Europe. Participating galleries presented a rich panorama of Asian creation, from reinterpreted traditional painting to digital installations, including sculpture, photography, and textile arts.
2025 Edition: “GROW” — Beyond Borders
The 11th edition of Asia Now took place from October 22 to 26, 2025 at the Monnaie de Paris, under the curatorial theme “GROW”. This edition invited the public to transcend the borders that have long defined East and West, and to consider how geography, culture, and history nourish our way of perceiving ourselves and others. Particular emphasis was placed on Western and Southern Asia, with a selection of emerging, confirmed, and established artists from Asia and its diaspora.
A Bridge Between Asia and Europe
Asia Now plays a fundamental role as a bridge between Asian art scenes and the European market. By offering unique visibility to galleries and artists from the Asian continent, the fair contributes to a better understanding of Asian aesthetics and artistic practices in the West. Founded and directed by Alexandra Fain, Asia Now continues its mission of intercultural dialogue and discovery, asserting itself as an unmissable event of Paris Art Week in October.
