Photo Days: All of Paris to the rhythm of photography
Photo Days was born in 2020 from a simple and unifying ambition: to make November the month of photography in Paris by bringing together all the players in the Parisian photographic scene under one banner. For four weeks, the festival invites you on a unique photographic journey through the capital and the Île-de-France region, connecting prestigious institutions, renowned galleries, and unusual venues.
Unlike trade fairs, Photo Days is not a centralized event in a single location, but a festival spread throughout the city. The principle: to unite and highlight all exhibitions, events, and initiatives related to photography taking place in Paris in November, while offering carte blanche to artists in atypical spaces — cafes, bookstores, workshops, laboratories, collector apartments.
An unparalleled photographic ecosystem
The originality of Photo Days lies in its ability to bring together very different players from the world of photography:
- Institutions: the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF), the Musée d'Orsay, the Jeu de Paume, the MAC VAL, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP), and other major museums
- Galleries: over forty participating galleries, including Galerie XII, Polka, Leica, Thaddaeus Ropac, Galerie Nathalie Obadia
- Fairs: Paris Photo, the leading international photography fair, is a natural partner
- Atypical venues: artist studios, castles, independent cultural spaces, specialized bookstores
A rich and accessible program
The festival offers a diverse program that goes beyond just exhibitions: portfolio reviews for emerging photographers, artist meetings and salons, thematic guided tours, photographic practice workshops, and an Instagram competition (#StreetPhotoDays) that invites the general public to participate actively.
The Cercle des Amis (Friends Circle), an annual membership program, offers enthusiasts privileged access to private tours and exclusive events throughout the year.
An expanding festival
Since its creation in 2020, Photo Days has continuously grown. The 6th edition, in November 2025, brought together over 180 artists and more than 90 participating venues, confirming the festival as a must-attend event on the Parisian photographic calendar. By giving common visibility to events that would otherwise remain scattered, Photo Days helps make Paris the world capital of photography every November.
