Rock n' Metal Convention

A historic metal event in the Marne region

Since its creation in 1999, the Fismes Rock n' Metal Convention has established itself as a major event on the metal and hard rock scene in the Grand Est region. Every first Sunday of March, the Fismes Salle des Fêtes transforms into a metal temple, hosting about ten bands from all over France for intense and energetic concerts. The event is driven by the association Underground Investigation, which works to promote extreme music and rock culture.

Much more than a concert festival

Beyond the musical lineup, the Rock n' Metal Convention offers a vast record and merchandising fair that has made the event renowned. Visitors can browse stands of vinyl, CDs, t-shirts, patches, and other collectible items. Professional tattoo and piercing artists are also present, as well as luthiers and instrument makers, jewelry designers, and specialized clothing stalls. This market aspect makes the convention a unique place for exchange and discovery for the metal community.

An eclectic and demanding program

The musical program of the Rock n' Metal Convention covers a wide spectrum of heavy music: from classic heavy metal to death metal, including thrash, progressive metal, hard rock, and alternative metal. Bands perform throughout the day, from 10 am to 8 pm, offering festival-goers a total immersion in the world of amplified music. The 28th edition in 2026 notably featured Amon Sethis, Venin, Mainkind, Voorhees, and Syr Daria.

An accessible and friendly event

With an entry fee of 10 euros for a full day of concerts and activities, the Rock n' Metal Convention remains true to its underground and accessible spirit. On-site catering with snacks and sandwiches allows festival-goers to fully enjoy the day. The event attracts a loyal audience each year from across the Grand Est region and beyond, making Fismes an annual rallying point for the French metal community.
