Dub Inc: Prophets of Reggae in Their Homeland

The DUB INC Party is much more than just a concert: it's the homecoming of the most iconic French reggae band. Founded in Saint-Étienne between 1997 and 1998 by Hakim "Bouchkour" Meridja and Aurélien "Komlan" Zohou, Dub Inc (formerly Dub Incorporation) has conquered stages worldwide while remaining deeply attached to its Saint-Étienne roots. Each year, the band organizes a special event in their hometown, transforming the Zénith de Saint-Étienne Métropole into a reggae temple for one or more evenings.

A Tradition Born in 2014 at the Palais des Spectacles

The first DUB INC Party took place from November 7 to 9, 2014, at the Palais des Spectacles in Saint-Étienne, alongside the world tour "Paradise." Over three days, the band conceived an ambitious thematic program:

• Urban Day: Dub Inc, Blitz The Ambassador, Némir, and a surprise guest
• Reggae Day: Dub Inc, Anthony B, Rebelution, and Mungo's Hi-Fi
• World Day: Dub Inc, Gnawa Diffusion, Alif Naaba, and Mungo's Hi-Fi

This innovative format, where the band itself handled the artistic direction with themed days, laid the foundation for an event that has become a must-attend for the French reggae community.

An Annual Fixture at the Zénith

Since this founding edition, the DUB INC Party has become an annual event eagerly awaited by the people of Saint-Étienne. The end-of-year concert at the Zénith de Saint-Étienne is now a well-established tradition: in 2022, 2023, and 2024, the band filled the 7,200-capacity venue, often in just a few hours. Esteemed guests perform on stage alongside Dub Inc, offering evenings rich in discoveries and unique collaborations.

A Unique Musical Style, a Fusion of Cultures

Dub Inc's music reflects the cultural diversity of Saint-Étienne. The band effortlessly navigates between reggae, dancehall, dub, ska, hip-hop, Kabyle music, and world music, driven by the complementary voices of Bouchkour and Komlan, who sing in French, English, and Kabyle. This musical richness is fully expressed during the DUB INC Parties, where the guest lineup explores the entire spectrum of world music.

The band, which has sold hundreds of thousands of albums and toured in over 27 countries, always returns to its roots.
