23rd Fête du Bleu du Vercors-Sassenage - 2025 Edition in Méaudre
The 23rd edition of the Fête du Bleu du Vercors-Sassenage was held on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July 2025 in Méaudre, in the commune of Autrans-Méaudre en Vercors. After a year's absence in 2024, this returning edition was welcomed with enthusiasm by over 20,000 visitors who came to celebrate the emblematic AOP cheese of the Vercors in an exceptional mountain setting.
The producers' and artisans' market, bringing together over 70 exhibitors, was held in the heart of Méaudre village. Cheesemakers, breeders, beekeepers, winemakers, brewers, and artisans from the Vercors offered their best products for direct sale and tasting. The Vercouline -- Bleu du Vercors-Sassenage melted over potatoes or toast -- once again delighted gourmands under the tasting tents.
Chef Guillaume Monjuré, godfather of this 23rd edition, gave a culinary demonstration on Sunday, July 27th at 1 PM, highlighting Bleu du Vercors-Sassenage in creative and contemporary recipes. The cheese-making demonstrations, from public milking to aging stages, allowed visitors to understand the ancestral know-how of Vercors producers.
The Graines d'Éleveurs (Young Farmers), young ambassadors of the Vercors agricultural world, ran a small educational farm with a milk bar, games for children and adults, and an area dedicated to the Bearded Vulture with exhibitions, educational games, and observation telescopes. A round table on species reintroduction and biodiversity preservation brought together volunteers, young farmers, and representatives of the Vercors Regional Natural Park, illustrating the intergenerational commitment at the heart of this event.
Open-air concerts, street shows, traditional games, and farm animal parades marked this festive and convivial weekend, confirming the Fête du Bleu as the unmissable summer event on the Vercors plateau.
