The Metz Carnival Fair is the big winter funfair that enlivens the Place de la République for over a month, from February to mid-March. With around forty attractions including children's rides, skill games, candy stalls, and inflatable structures, it offers a family-friendly and joyful gathering in the heart of the city. The Carnival Fair: A Metz Winter Classic

Every year from February to March, the Metz Carnival Fair sets up on the Place de la République, transforming the city center into a space for family fun and festivities. For over a month, rides, skill games, and food stalls liven up winter days for Metz residents and visitors.

Location

Place de la République, 57000 Metz. The fair is set up right in the heart of the city center, on and around the Place de la République.

By Car

Underground parking nearby: Parking République, Parking Cathédrale, and Parking Saint-Jacques. Metz is accessible via the A31 from Nancy and Luxembourg.

By Public Transport

Le Met' network, stop « République » served by the Mettis (BHNS) and several bus lines. The square is at the heart of Metz's transport network.

By Train

Metz-Ville station (TGV from Paris-Est in 1h25). Place de la République is a 10-minute walk from the station.

  • Wednesdays, Weekends, and School Holidays: opens at 2 PM, possibility of extension until 10 PM depending on the period
