The major meeting point for gastronomy and AOC Moselle wines on Place de la République in Metz
In just a few editions, the Village Gourmand and the Moselle Wine Festival has become an unmissable gastronomic event in Metz. Organized on Place de la République and the Esplanade Garden, this event showcases the Moselle terroir and the culinary expertise of the Grand Est region.

The Village Gourmand is supported by the City of Metz, the Department of Moselle, the Grand Est Region, and Luxembourg. It is part of the dynamic promotion of the Qualité MOSL label, which distinguishes producers and artisans committed to quality and the valorization of the Moselle terroir.
The event attracts over 10,000 visitors each year over a weekend, confirming the enthusiasm of locals and visitors for this celebration of good food and drink. The friendly atmosphere, the culinary discoveries, and the prestigious urban setting of Place de la République contribute to the success of this event.
The Village Gourmand and the Moselle Wine Festival will return in March 2026 to Place de la République in Metz. Food stands, AOC Moselle winegrowers, and Qualité MOSL artisans will once again be present for a gourmet and festive weekend. The detailed program will be announced in early 2026.
Place de la République and Jardin de l'Esplanade, 57000 Metz. Food stands are located on Place de la République, and wine stands are in the Esplanade Garden.
Underground parking nearby: parking République, parking Cathédrale, and parking Saint-Jacques. Metz is accessible via the A31 from Nancy and Luxembourg, and via the A4 from Paris and Strasbourg.
Metz-Ville station served by TGV from Paris-Est (1h25), TER from Nancy (35 min), Strasbourg (1h20), and Luxembourg (50 min). Place de la République is a 10-minute walk from the station.
Le Met' network, stop « République » served by Mettis and several bus lines.
Free entry. Consumables are purchased with consumption tickets at 2.50 euros each, sold in books of 10 (25 euros). Tickets are the only accepted currency throughout the gourmet village. The engraved tasting glass, allowing access to wine tastings, is sold for 10 euros.
Stands offer savory dishes from 5 to 12.50 euros and sweet treats from 2.50 to 7.50 euros. Moselle specialties: quiches, potées, mirabelle plum tarts, and regional recipes revisited by local chefs.
Place de la République and the Esplanade Garden are accessible to people with reduced mobility. Seating is available in the dining area.
