Apple and Chestnut Fair — October 27, 2025
On October 27, 2025, the village of Saint-Pierre-de-Trivisy came alive for its traditional Autumn Fair. Under an autumn sky in the Haut-Languedoc mountains, locals and visitors gathered to celebrate the season's fruits in a friendly and authentic atmosphere.
The artisanal production of apple juice was once again the highlight: children and adults could observe the stages of grinding and pressing, before tasting the precious nectar still warm. The roasted chestnuts filled the air with their characteristic aroma, recalling the forest and agricultural past of this Montagne Noire commune.
The exhibition of old agricultural equipment showcased fine examples of rural mechanization from the last century, while producer stalls offered cheeses, cured meats, honeys, and jams from the region. An October Monday true to the tradition of Tarn's rural fairs.
