Livres en Jura: The Literary Fair of Authors from Franche-Comté

Livres en Jura, the fair of authors from Franche-Comté, is a literary event organized in Lons-le-Saunier by the Association Comtoise des Auteurs Indépendants (ACAI) in partnership with the Departmental Council of Jura. The first edition in the Jura region was held in June 2025 in the prestigious setting of the Hôtel du Département, marking ACAI's establishment in the Jura after a major restructuring of the association in 2024.

Fifty Authors and Book Professionals Gathered

The fair brings together about fifty writers, artists, and book professionals from Franche-Comté and Burgundy. All literary genres are represented: novels, crime fiction, thrillers, biographies, documentaries, history, poetry, children's literature, manga, and comics. This diversity ensures interest for all audiences and reading tastes.

ACAI: An Association Serving Independent Authors

ACAI, created in 2010 in the Doubs region, is an association that unites independent authors from the greater Franche-Comté region. After a restructuring in September 2024, with the election of a new president, Serge Etievant, and the transfer of the headquarters to the Jura, the association has established three geographical poles to organize book fairs throughout the Franche-Comté territory.

A Prestigious Setting with Free Admission

The Hôtel du Département in Lons-le-Saunier offers a prestigious setting for the fair, with its bright reception rooms and remarkable architecture. Admission is free for the public, who can freely wander among the stands, meet the authors, get their books signed, and discuss literature in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
