The major commercial and festive event for the Northeast of France
The Metz International Fair brings together over 550 exhibitors from around twenty sectors at the Parc des Expositions for eleven days. Home, gastronomy, crafts, gardens, and leisure are accompanied by a thematic exhibition, entertainment, and late-night openings. An unmissable popular event attracting over 100,000 visitors each year.
The Metz International Fair is a major annual event that has enlivened the Metz metropolitan area for decades. Every autumn, the Parc des Expositions de Metz Métropole transforms for eleven days into a vast commercial, cultural, and festive village, welcoming over 100,000 visitors from all over Lorraine, Luxembourg, Germany, and Belgium.
The FIM brings together over 550 stands covering about twenty sectors of activity. Visitors can discover the latest trends in home and renovation, furniture and decoration, household goods, gardens and pools, gastronomy and wines, national and international crafts, automobiles, and many other fields. More than 2,000 brands are represented, offering a comprehensive overview of the products and services available in the region.
Each edition of the Metz Fair features a spectacular thematic exhibition that is one of the event's highlights. In 2025, the exhibition “90 years of French consumption and songs” offers a journey through time with costumes, objects, decorations, and soundscapes from the 1920s to the present day, blending the history of consumption with French musical heritage.
Beyond the commercial stands, the FIM offers a dense program of entertainment and shows. Culinary demonstrations, tastings, creative workshops, children's play areas, and concerts liven up the fair aisles throughout the eleven days. The late-night openings on Fridays and Saturdays extend the festive atmosphere with evening concerts and entertainment.
The gastronomy area of the FIM is one of the most popular. Local producers, winemakers, artisan bakers, and cheesemakers mingle with specialties from around the world. The fair is an opportunity to discover or rediscover the riches of the Moselle and Lorraine terroir, from mirabelle plums to quiche lorraine and Moselle wines. A dedicated space for international crafts allows for a journey through global know-how.
The Metz International Fair represents a significant economic driver for the metropolitan area and the region. The influx of visitors generates substantial benefits for the hotel, restaurant, and local retail sectors. For exhibitors, the FIM is a strategic commercial showcase, enabling them to reach a cross-border consumer base of several million inhabitants.
