Festi Lumière — edition 2026
For its first edition, Festi Lumière presents three nights of open-air cinema in the grounds of Château Bellevue, the former home of the Lumière family. The program is curated by the Institut Lumière in Lyon, offering an epicurean experience nestled among the hills of Morgon, in the Beaujolais region.

Each evening: wine tasting featuring Domaines Loron from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM (for adults), followed by food and a wine bar from 7:00 PM. The film will be screened on a giant screen at nightfall, around 9:30 PM - 9:45 PM.

Open-air cinema at Château Bellevue
As the former home of the Lumière family, Château Bellevue in Villié-Morgon is a natural setting for a celebration of cinema history. Our partnership with the Institut Lumière lends true prestige to this open-air festival, which balances artistic quality with accessibility and charm. Over three evenings, we honor the spirit of innovation, storytelling, and community championed by the Lumière brothers in a truly exceptional setting.
A three-part epicurean experience
Each evening ticket grants access to the Château Bellevue grounds and park:
- 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: A discovery tasting of Domaines Loron wines for adults, hosted by our winemaking team and cellar masters.
- From 7:00 PM: Access to dining areas and a selection of Beaujolais and Mâconnais wines from Domaines Loron and Auvigue, available to enjoy in the park before the film.
- At dusk, around 9:30 PM – 9:45 PM: Film screening on a giant screen in the heart of the English-style park, featuring high-quality sound.

Thursday, July 23rd — "Some Like It Hot", by Billy Wilder, USA, 1959 (2h01), original version with French subtitles. A black-and-white classic presented in honor of the Marilyn Monroe centenary. Chicago, 1929: two musicians witness a mob hit and go into hiding by joining an all-female band. A timeless, non-conformist comedy starring Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon, and Tony Curtis.
Friday, July 24th — "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown" (Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios), by Pedro Almodóvar, Spain, 1988 (1h35), original version with French subtitles. A vibrant, pop-art comedy featuring Carmen Maura, Fernando Guillén, and Rossy de Palma. A true landmark in Almodóvar's filmography.
Saturday, July 25th — "Green Book", by Peter Farrelly, USA, 2018 (2h10), original version with French subtitles. An Oscar-winning road movie based on a true story, starring Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali. In 1962, during the era of segregation, an Italian-American bouncer accompanies a renowned Black pianist on a concert tour through the American South.
