The great popular and free festival on the shores of Lake Geneva in Évian-les-Bains
Festiléman is the major festive and cultural event in Évian-les-Bains, organized every year during the Pentecost weekend on the shores of Lake Geneva. Created in 2018, this entirely free festival celebrates the richness of the Lake Geneva region through seven thematic villages, four concert stages, a market of local artisans and producers, water activities, shows for all ages, and a varied musical program. Bringing together over 50,000 visitors over three days, Festiléman has become one of the biggest popular events in Haute-Savoie, driven by the energy of local associations and volunteers who bring the shores of Western Europe's largest Alpine lake to life.
Festiléman is the biggest popular and free event in Évian-les-Bains, in Haute-Savoie. Every year during the Pentecost weekend, this festival takes over the quays and shores of Lake Geneva for three days of festivities combining music, crafts, culture, water sports, and gastronomy. Since its creation in 2018, Festiléman has continued to grow, now attracting over 50,000 visitors per edition.
Festiléman was born in 2018 with the ambition to celebrate life on the shores of Lake Geneva and to bring together residents, associations, and local stakeholders around a unifying event. The first edition, which hosted the great CGN boat parade on Lake Geneva, was an immediate success with 30,000 visitors. The festival has evolved year after year, offering an increasingly rich and diverse program capable of appealing to all generations.
Festiléman's originality lies in its organization into seven thematic villages spread along the quays of Évian: a village for local associations, a crafts and creators village, a water sports village with demonstrations and introductions, a children's village with shows and workshops, a gastronomy village highlighting producers from the Chablais region, a heritage village dedicated to the history of Lake Geneva, and a wellness village.
Music is at the heart of Festiléman with four stages offering concerts during the day and evening. The eclectic program mixes French chanson, world music, pop, rock, and traditional music, providing a festive soundtrack that accompanies visitors throughout the weekend. Local artists share the stage with regional and national acts on the festival's various stages.
Over 70 stands host artisans and producers from Chablais and the shores of Lake Geneva. Alpine cheeses, Savoyard cured meats, Savoie wines, honey, jams, handmade jewelry, ceramics, textiles, and original creations enrich this market that promotes short supply chains and local know-how.
Festiléman is an entirely free festival, supported by the City of Évian-les-Bains in collaboration with numerous local associations. This commitment to accessibility makes Festiléman a truly popular event, where families, young people, seniors, and visitors come together in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
