Music and human adventures in the heart of the Vendée coast
Created in 2020 by the association Event'AO, the A Onda Festival is a summer pop-rock event held in Avrillé, Vendée. Over two days, it showcases new talents through a music competition while hosting established artists from the French scene. Beyond the concerts, the festival offers a solidarity village bringing together associations and artisans involved in humanitarian aid and environmental protection, making this event a popular and unifying celebration.
Born in 2020 from the initiative of the association Event'AO, the A Onda Festival has quickly established itself as a must-attend event on the Vendée music scene. Held at the Complexe Espace 2000 in Avrillé, in the heart of the Vendée Grand Littoral territory, this pop-rock music festival offers two days of concerts, discoveries, and sharing each summer.
One of the unique features of the A Onda Festival is its music competition, where several emerging bands and artists compete before a jury. This showcase offers young talents a quality stage and valuable visibility. Among the artists who have graced the festival's stages are names like Freaky Family, Stone Age, Jayleen McCarty, The Harts Industry, and Garçonne.
Alongside the competition, the A Onda Festival hosts renowned artists from the French scene. The 2022 edition notably featured Pony Pony Run Run, Sanseverino with guest Marko Balland, Caesaria, and Red Beans & Pepper Sauce. The 2023 edition continued this momentum with Rue de la Forge and the Sablais group Léonie.
Beyond the music, the A Onda Festival stands out for its solidarity village. Humanitarian associations, local artisans committed to environmental protection, and local stakeholders gather to offer demonstrations, activities, and conferences. This solidarity dimension is an integral part of the festival's DNA, aiming to be a popular, unifying celebration rooted in the values of sharing.
