The free rock festival of Moutiers-les-Mauxfaits
Since 2017, the Huche N'Groll Festival has enlivened the Huche Grolle Valley in Moutiers-les-Mauxfaits in Vendée every summer. This unmissable rock event, entirely free and driven by the municipal culture commission and over 80 volunteers, now brings together more than 2,500 spectators around a program mixing rock, blues, hard rock, and rockabilly. The festival also highlights young local talents during the discovery stage.
Born in 2017 from the initiative of the municipal culture commission of Moutiers-les-Mauxfaits, the Huche N'Groll Festival quickly established itself as a major rock event in southern Vendée. Set in the exceptional natural setting of the Vallée d'Huche Grolle, on the road to La Tranche-sur-Mer, this open-air festival offers a friendly and accessible musical experience for everyone thanks to its completely free admission.
Each edition of Huche N'Groll offers a rich and varied program that spans the entire rock spectrum: from 50s rock'n'roll to hard rock, including blues, rockabilly, and contemporary French rock. The festival also stands out for its discovery stage, which provides a platform for young local and emerging bands starting at 5 PM, before giving way to established artists in the evening.
Supported by over 80 volunteers from the municipal culture commission and three local associations — Amicale Laïque Moutierroise, OGEC Saint-Maurice, and Amicale des Sapeurs-Pompiers — the festival benefits from the support of over 50 partner companies. Food and drink, managed by the associations, contribute to the warm and family-friendly atmosphere of the event.
The Vallée d'Huche Grolle, a true green setting crossed by a body of water, offers a unique bucolic setting for an open-air festival. The site, already known for its fitness trail and playgrounds, transforms for one day into an open-air rock stage where families and music lovers gather in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.
