Quai Metal: The Metal Buzz in the Heart of Vendée

Driven by the shared vision of Base Productions and Quai M, a contemporary music venue in La Roche-sur-Yon, the Quai Metal festival was born in October 2023. From its very first edition, it has successfully united a passionate community of extreme music lovers by offering an ambitious and eclectic program, ranging from technical death metal to atmospheric post-metal, including stoner and industrial.

A Venue Tailored for Metal

Quai M, inaugurated in September 2022, provides an ideal setting for a metal festival. The Delta hall, with a capacity of 874 seats, hosts the headliners in optimal sound conditions, while the more intimate Club, with its 198 seats, allows for the discovery of emerging bands in rare proximity to the artists. The two stages operate alternately, ensuring a smooth flow of concerts throughout the evening.

Memorable Lineups

The first edition in 2023 featured prestigious names such as Klone, Gorod, The Old Dead Tree, Shaârghot, and Bukowski. In 2024, the second edition raised the bar with the Greeks from Septicflesh, the Germans from Equilibrium, as well as French veterans Lofofora, Treponem Pal, and post-metallers Hypno5e. Each year, the festival asserts its identity by blending internationally recognized artists with promising talents from the French scene.
