Les Z'Allumés: a festival by and for young people

Since 2006, the Les Z'Allumés festival has been the universe dedicated to the youth of Cholet. This festive and participatory event aims to showcase young people and their creativity, allow them to take ownership of the city center spaces, and promote social diversity. Free and open to all, the festival is mainly aimed at 15-25 year olds but welcomes an intergenerational audience.

A renewed format

The festival has evolved over the editions to offer an innovative format. Les Z'Allumés now unfolds in two stages: a weekend of activities in the city center in June, with sports activities, participatory workshops, hip-hop demonstrations, and street entertainment, followed by a free concert evening in September at L'Autre Usine, Cholet's contemporary music venue.

An eclectic musical program

The musical evening of Les Z'Allumés offers an eclectic program that reflects the tastes of young people: rap, slam, electronic music, world music, and techno follow each other on stage from 8 PM to 1 AM. The invited artists mix emerging headliners and local talents, in a festive and friendly atmosphere. DJ sets ensure transitions between performances.

A springboard for young talent

Les Z'Allumés is not just a festival for spectators: it is also a springboard for young talents from the Cholet region. The festival offers spaces for artistic expression, practical workshops, and meetings with professionals, thus contributing to the emergence of the local cultural scene.
