Created in 2022, Mauges Pit Fest is the benchmark extreme music festival in the Mauges region, in the heart of Maine-et-Loire. Organized by the association Mac N'Roll Métallicus, it brings together thirteen metal, punk, and hardcore bands every autumn at the Salle Thomas-Dupouet in Saint-Macaire-en-Mauges (Sèvremoine) for eleven hours of music over two evenings. With a program resolutely focused on heavy music and a friendly atmosphere, Mauges Pit Fest has quickly established itself as an unmissable event for fans of heavy sound in Anjou.

Mauges Pit Fest: The Metal Event of Anjou
Born in 2022 from the passion of a group of Anjou metalheads united within the association Mac N'Roll Métallicus, Mauges Pit Fest has quickly won over the extreme music audience in the Pays de la Loire region. Located just a few dozen kilometers from the mythical Hellfest in Clisson, this human-sized festival offers an intense and friendly experience at the Salle Thomas-Dupouet in Saint-Macaire-en-Mauges, a delegated commune of Sèvremoine.
Thirteen Bands, Eleven Hours of Music
Each edition brings together thirteen bands with varied styles but resolutely metal: death metal, thrash, stoner, punk, hardcore, heavy metal, and many other subgenres follow each other on stage for eleven hours of music spread over two evenings. Friday evening kicks off the festivities with a powerful lineup, while Saturday offers a marathon day of concerts starting in the afternoon.
A Friendly and Metal Space
Beyond the stage, Mauges Pit Fest offers an expanded outdoor area hosting merchandising stands, a tattoo artist, and food trucks with a covered dining area. The atmosphere is resolutely family-friendly and metal, in a spirit of sharing and musical discovery. The festival welcomed over 2,000 festival-goers during its 2024 edition, confirming its growing momentum on the French metal scene.
In the Heart of the Mauges
Located in the heart of the Mauges region, a territory with a strong character in the south of Maine-et-Loire, the festival benefits from an authentic rural setting and a community of dedicated volunteers. Its proximity to Cholet (15 km) and Nantes (70 km) facilitates access for festival-goers from all over the Grand Ouest.
Mauges Pit Fest — edition 2026
The 5th edition of Mauges Pit Fest will be held on October 2nd and 3rd, 2026. The program includes thirteen bands on stage for eleven hours of music, featuring Revnoir (metal revelation 2025) and Mars Red Sky (Bordeaux stoner metal, who played at Hellfest 2025). The outdoor area will be expanded with ten stands, a tattoo artist, and three food trucks.
Mauges Pit Fest V - 2026 Edition
Mauges Pit Fest returns for its 5th edition on October 2nd and 3rd, 2026. Thirteen bands will perform on stage for eleven hours of metal, punk, and hardcore music. Among the announced headliners are Revnoir, a Parisian modern metal band named metal revelation of 2025 at the Foudres awards ceremony at Bataclan, and Mars Red Sky, a stoner metal group from Bordeaux who performed at Hellfest 2025.
The outdoor area will be expanded to accommodate ten merchandising stands, a tattoo artist, and three food trucks with a 150 m² covered dining area.

Access
By car: Salle Thomas-Dupouet is located at 12 rue du Docteur Schweitzer, 49450 Sèvremoine (Saint-Macaire-en-Mauges). Access via the D753 from Cholet (15 km) or the N249 from Nantes (70 km). Free parking on site.
Hours
Friday: doors open at 6:30 PM. Saturday: doors open at 3:30 PM. Concerts until approximately 1:15 AM.
