Comics and author meet-and-greets festival
The Saint-Jean-d'Angély Comics Festival is an annual event for comic and manga enthusiasts. Organized by the association Les Heures Perdues de la BD, this festival offers meetings with a dozen authors, signings, exhibitions, and activities for all ages. Every November, the Salle Aliénor d'Aquitaine transforms into a true temple of comics.
The Saint-Jean-d'Angély Comics Festival celebrates the 9th art in all its forms. Organized by the association Les Heures Perdues de la BD, this festival highlights contemporary comic and manga creation, with a particular focus on regional and national authors.
Each edition hosts a dozen authors who come to share their passion and sign their works. Visitors can interact directly with the creators, discover the behind-the-scenes of comic and manga creation, and leave with signed albums. It's a unique opportunity to meet emerging talents and established authors.
The Salle Aliénor d'Aquitaine hosts exhibitions of original artwork, panels, and illustrations. Activities for young audiences are offered throughout the day: drawing workshops, introductions to comic creation, and fun discoveries of the world of comics.
The festival is family-friendly and accessible, with free admission to allow as many people as possible to discover the world of comics and manga.
