The Festival de Musique de Claye-Souilly: Twenty Years of Classical and Choral Music

Founded in 2006, the Festival de Musique de Claye-Souilly was born from the passion and ambition of the Choeur de Claye-Souilly, a vocal ensemble founded by Jean-Philippe Music. This choir, composed of high-level amateur singers, has built an international reputation through tours in Europe, the United States, Canada, and China, performing a repertoire ranging from baroque music to contemporary composers.

An Internationally Rooted, Locally Anchored Festival

Every year at the end of March, the festival transforms the Espace André-Malraux in Claye-Souilly into an international concert hall. Choirs, orchestras, and chamber music ensembles from diverse backgrounds perform alongside the Choeur de Claye-Souilly for ambitious programs mixing sacred, symphonic, and choral works.

Over the years, the festival has hosted ensembles from all over Europe and beyond, creating musical bridges between cultures and offering the Seine-et-Marne public an opening to the choral traditions of the world. Located in the heart of this town of 12,000 inhabitants, 15 km from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, the venue hosts the festival in ideal conditions for the flourishing of the performed works.

The Choeur de Claye-Souilly: Choeur Odyssées

The Choeur Odyssées (formerly Choeur de Claye-Souilly) is the resident ensemble and the soul of the festival. This vocal ensemble has gained recognition far beyond the borders of Seine-et-Marne thanks to its demanding repertoire and numerous international tours. The choir performs a wide repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary, including romantic and sacred music from all origins.
