Edition 2024 — Festival du Vinaigre
Second edition of the Festival du Vinaigre d'Orléans at the Campo Santo, now open to the general public. Three days of festivities with a market of regional producers, masterclasses by the Disciples d'Escoffier, the regional final of the world egg mayonnaise championship, concerts in partnership with Cocorico Electro and Vibration, and a gala dinner. Six prestigious chefs including Pierre Gagnaire and Sébastien Vauxion created the new 2024 vinegars.
2nd Edition: The Festival Opens to the General Public
Building on the success of its inaugural edition, the second edition of the Festival du Vinaigre d'Orléans took place from May 31 to June 2, 2024, at the Campo Santo, now open to everyone. Selected among the 22 Atout France laureates out of 130 applications to promote French gastronomic excellence, the festival offered a rich and festive program over three days.
Friday, May 31
The opening evening featured an electro concert in partnership with Cocorico Electro from 9 PM to 11 PM, accompanied by gourmet food trucks.
Saturday, June 1
- 8 AM - 5 PM: Grand market of regional producers from the Centre-Val de Loire — Orléans quince paste, macarons, mustard, cheeses, and vinegars
- 11 AM - 1 PM: Egg mayonnaise competition
- 3 PM - 5 PM: Masterclass by the Disciples d'Escoffier focusing on a signature Loire Valley dish
- 9 PM - 11 PM: Grand Bal du Vinaigre (Great Vinegar Ball) free of charge in partnership with Vibration
Sunday, June 2
- 11 AM - 1 PM: Regional final of the World Egg Mayonnaise Championship organized by ASOM
- 2 PM: Preparation of the six new 2024 vinegars by the chefs
- 3 PM: Presentation ceremony of the 2023 vinegars
- 7 PM - 11 PM: Gala Dinner served by students from the Orléans hotel school, with an auction for charitable causes
