Every autumn, the Émergences Festival reinvents multicultural dialogue in Tours by showcasing a new generation of artists who push the boundaries of jazz. Founded over twenty years ago, this festival, driven by Le Petit Faucheux and the Jazz à Tours school, has become a laboratory for contemporary jazz creation.

Encounters, Hybridizations, and New Energies

Émergences' programming is built around the concept of encounters. Established artists and emerging talents meet, exchange, and create together during concerts, jam sessions, masterclasses, screenings, and professional meetings. The festival celebrates the diversity of musical expressions and encourages hybridizations between genres.

An International Partnership with Tomorrow's Warriors

In 2025, the festival strengthened its alliance with the London collective Tomorrow's Warriors, symbolizing a strong commitment to mentorship and international openness. This partnership gives a voice to young musicians whose creativity shapes the future of jazz.

Le Petit Faucheux: The Festival's Beating Heart

Le Petit Faucheux, a venue for jazz and improvised music in Tours, is the festival's headquarters. This iconic space in Tours' cultural life hosts the majority of the concerts. The festival also takes over other iconic venues in the city to offer an immersive and diverse experience.
