La Parmentière: The Potato Festival

In Soings-en-Sologne, the festival committee dedicates an entire day to the humble potato. La Parmentière is held on the first weekend of September, bringing together a flea market, a local produce market, various activities, and live music.

A day dedicated to the potato

Stalls, tastings, and food options are available throughout the village all day, along with a refreshment bar. The local market showcases producers and artisans, who are invited by the committee through an annual public call.

Flea market, rides, and association forum

Spaces for the flea market must be booked through the festival committee. Carnival rides and pony rides are set up for children, alongside activities for all ages. In the afternoon, local associations host their forum. The day concludes with a concert followed by a dinner dance, which requires prior booking.

The festival committee

Volunteers from the Soings-en-Sologne festival committee organize the event and are always looking for extra help each year for the flea market, the dinner, and the stalls. Admission is free and food is available on-site.
