Chambord, history on horseback: an exceptional equestrian show
The Chambord Equestrian Show offers an immersive dive into the heart of five centuries of history of the largest castle in the Loire Valley. Titled "Chambord, history on horseback", this unprecedented show was created in 2025 by the master of equestrian shows, Mario Luraschi, a legendary figure in the world of horses and cinema.
A show narrated by Jean Dujardin
The voice of Jean Dujardin, Oscar-winning actor, accompanies spectators throughout this historical journey. His narration brings to life the illustrious figures who have shaped the history of Chambord, from the first stones laid by François I to the major events that have marked the estate.
Ten horses, eight riders, and legendary figures
The show features ten horses and eight riders embodying the emblematic figures of Chambord's history: François I, the visionary builder of the castle, Louis XIV, who had Molière perform there, Molière himself, and Marshal de Saxe, a military hero who received Chambord as a reward for his victories. The scenes follow one another in a sequence of spectacular stunts, high-level dressage, and video projections on a large screen.
The historic stables of Marshal de Saxe
The show takes place in a place steeped in history: the stables of Marshal de Saxe, built in the 18th century within the Domaine national de Chambord. These historic stables offer an authentic and intimate setting for an exceptional equestrian show, combining architectural heritage and living art.
A show for all generations
Lasting 45 minutes, the show combines emotion, humor, and wonder, appealing to audiences of all ages. The stunts and dressage impress adults, while the playful staging and video projections captivate children. The show is designed to be accessible to an international audience, with a visual dimension that transcends language barriers.
