The Quinzaine Gourmande: a showcase for Loir-et-Cher's gastronomy

For over fifteen years, the Quinzaine Gourmande en Loir-et-Cher has established itself as the unmissable event for gourmets and lovers of local cuisine in the department. Driven by the association Cuisine en Loir-et-Cher, which brings together passionate professional restaurateurs, this autumn event celebrates the gastronomic richness of the Loire Valley each year through an original and unifying operation.

A unique concept: local produce enhanced by chefs

The principle is simple and generous: for sixteen days, from November 1st to 16th, about twenty restaurateurs from Loir-et-Cher offer creative all-inclusive menus — starter, main course, dessert, and drinks — at attractive prices. Each chef designs an original menu that highlights local produce: Sologne game, Loire fish, AOC goat cheeses, Touraine wines, troglodyte cave mushrooms, Sologne asparagus, and fruits from the Loire orchards.

A large-scale regional operation

The Quinzaine Gourmande is part of the Automne Gourmand en Centre-Val de Loire, an operation supported by the Centre-Val de Loire Region and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. More than 110 restaurants and training establishments participate in this celebration of regional gastronomy, making the Quinzaine Gourmande du Loir-et-Cher one of the most dynamic departmental versions.

A gourmet tour across the department

The participating restaurants are spread throughout the Loir-et-Cher territory, from Blois to Saint-Aignan, including Cheverny, Salbris, Vendôme, and the banks of the Loire. This geographical dispersion invites diners to a true gourmet tour through the varied landscapes of the department — Loire castles, Sologne forests, Touraine vineyards — combining the pleasure of the table with the discovery of heritage.

Quality establishments committed

The restaurateurs of Cuisine en Loir-et-Cher share common values: excellence of products, respect for seasons, culinary creativity, and rootedness in the local terroir. Among the emblematic establishments participating regularly are: Les Banquettes rouges, L'Embarcadère, and L'Orangerie du château in Blois, as well as many charming restaurants scattered throughout the villages of the department.
