HRun Festival: Sport, Music, and Solidarity in Loir-et-Cher
The HRun Festival is more than just a festival: it's a human and solidarity adventure dedicated to children with disabilities in Loir-et-Cher. Created in Contres (Le Controis-en-Sologne), this unique event in France brings together hundreds of participants every September for festive and solidarity-filled moments, driven by a strong conviction: inclusion through sharing.
The Inclusive Race: Together, Without Timing
The heart of the festival is its inclusive race, a course to be completed on foot, in a wheelchair, by handbike, by bike, running, walking, with a stroller, or even accompanied by a dog. No timing, no ranking: the goal is to mobilize together to send a strong message of inclusion and universal accessibility. Multiple starts begin in the early afternoon (bibs at €5).
Charity Concerts in the Evening
From 7 PM, the site transforms into a musical stage with charity concerts that liven up the evening. Recognized artists from the French music scene perform voluntarily or at a solidarity rate to support the cause. The atmosphere is festive, warm, and family-friendly, with headliners who have previously electrified the audience – such as 47Ter and Styleto.
Concrete Solidarity Commitment
All profits generated from ticket sales, catering, and donations are fully reinvested in concrete projects for children with disabilities in Loir-et-Cher. The festival finances adapted equipment, living space improvements, and inclusive sports and cultural activities, directly contributing to improving the daily lives of these children and their families.
An Event Growing Year by Year
Since its creation, the HRun Festival has continuously grown, from a few dozen participants to several hundred. Driven by a team of committed volunteers and supported by numerous local partners, the festival has become an anticipated event that goes far beyond sports, touching the hearts with values of solidarity and humanity.
