Chambord, Rêve de Lumières: the night-time show of a mythical château
Chambord, Rêve de Lumières is the flagship night-time show of the Domaine national de Chambord. Every summer, the monumental facade of the Château de Chambord, 156 meters long, becomes the screen for an exceptionally large-scale sound and light show, reviving a historical tradition since Chambord created the very first sound and light show in the world in 1952.
A technological and artistic feat
Lasting 50 minutes, the show uses the latest advances in digital video to offer a true journey through time and dreams. The monumental projections on the château's facade are a technological and artistic feat, blending high-definition animated images, captivating original music, and enthralling choreography. The ensemble creates total immersion in a universe where historical narratives and enchantment coexist.
A universal and accessible show
Designed to appeal to the widest possible audience, Chambord, Rêve de Lumières uses universal forms of expression—images, music, and dance—that transcend linguistic and cultural barriers. The show is therefore accessible to children and adults alike, to French speakers and international visitors, without any language constraints.
Chambord Nights
The show is part of the Nuits de Chambord program, which offers a complete evening at the estate. Gates open in the late afternoon with bars and catering, followed by strolls and entertainment in the park before the grand night-time show. The evening thus offers a complete immersive experience, from dusk till night.
A historical heritage
In 1952, the Château de Chambord innovated by presenting the first sound and light show in history, a French invention that would spread throughout the world. With Chambord, Rêve de Lumières, the estate perpetuates this tradition of excellence by updating it with the most advanced digital technologies, confirming Chambord's place as a pioneer of heritage night-time shows.
