The Idéklic Festival is a unique cultural event entirely dedicated to childhood and youth. Created in 1989 in Moirans-en-Montagne, the French capital of toys nestled in the heart of the Jura, it celebrates live art in all its forms for the youngest every summer, from birth to adolescence.
Each edition offers an exceptionally rich program: around 30 shows with nearly 80 performances, and about 50 artistic and creative workshops for children aged 0 to 13. Theater, puppets, circus, storytelling, music, dance, visual arts: all live arts are represented in a demanding and playful program.
For four days in July, the entire village of Moirans-en-Montagne transforms into an open-air festival. Shows and workshops take over the streets, halls, gardens, natural spaces, and even water, offering families a total immersion in an artistic universe designed for children. This proximity to the Jura nature and the intimacy of the village give Idéklic a warm and unique atmosphere.
Idéklic upholds strong values of artistic education, cultural openness, and respect for the environment. The festival is committed to an eco-responsible approach and raises children's awareness of environmental protection through dedicated shows and workshops. Each edition is built around a unifying theme that permeates the entire program.
For over 35 years, Idéklic has hosted companies and artists from around the world, making Moirans-en-Montagne an international crossroads for children's arts. The festival attracts thousands of families from all over France and Europe each year.
